Hello friends!!! I’m using three exclamation points today because I am SO excited to be sharing something with you that has been in the works for a while! If you’re new around here, allow me to introduce myself! I’m Corinne Isabelle, owner of Corinne Isabelle Photography. I specialize in Boston Newborn Photography and have thoroughly enjoyed settling into my niche of Motherhood Photography. I believe so strongly that mothers deserve to be front and center in their family memories, not stuck on the sidelines.
In 2018 I fell in love with the art of photography after searching for my own wedding photographer. I started my business and began photographing anything and everything, ranging from seniors, to families and weddings. This is great because it A) gave me more experience with my camera and B) allowed me to see what kinds of sessions fill me with the most joy and passion.
Boston Newborn Photography
What I have come to learn is that I am most passionate about motherhood photography. I became a mother in 2020 and it is an entirely transformative experience. As moms we sacrifice SO much. Bringing our children into our families and raising them, it’s tough work. Extremely fulfilling, but hard work nonetheless.
It’s a strange dance between overwhelm and gratitude. One minute you’re wishing the day was over so you can lounge in your PJ’s and eat a chocolate chip cookie (or two, or three) in silence … or is that just me? Hah. Then once bedtime comes you’re scrolling your camera roll watching videos and looking at the pictures you took of your baby that day. All the while wishing they were awake so you could snuggle them right now. Ironic, right?
As moms we all treasure photos of our babies. I don’t know about you, but my phone is FULL to the brim of photos of my daughter and my daughter with my husband. I’m talking ‘iPhone Storage Full’ notifications on the daily. Very few of those photos am I actually IN the frame, unless it’s a silly selfie or a photo that my daughter takes of me (this has actually been a common request these days and it makes my photographer heart burst).
So many moms yearn for beautiful photos of themselves with their babies, but don’t often get them…
Maybe you’re feeling a bit insecure and don’t love having your photo taken. Or you’re so busy taking care of your family and yourself that the days just seem to slip away. Maybe your partner always seems to catch the most unflattering angle of you whenever you ask for a photo (am I right or am I right?).
From the moment we bring our babies into our families we become a nurturer. We give our babies love, warmth, nutrition, attention. We fiercely love our children. Mothers deserve to be seen and celebrated.
Introducing: The Nurture Portrait Series
Artful images showcasing mamas feeding their babies, however they choose to do so.
Who Is This For?
The Nurture Portrait Series is for mamas who crave beautiful images of themselves feeding their babies. For mamas who want to celebrate their role as a mother. To document their legacy.
Artful / Timeless / Ethereal / Magical / Raw
Is This Only For Breastfed Babies?
Absolutely not. This is an inclusive portrait series to celebrate mamas feeding their babies, however that looks for you. Formula fed, breastfed, combination feeding, SNS feeds, tube feeding, the list goes on.
Providing your baby with the sustenance they need is a beautiful, unique and demanding job that deserves to be celebrated. I’m here to cheer you on and show you how beautiful your role as a nurturer is.
Is Wardrobe Included?
Yes! Many of the dresses in my client wardrobe are nursing friendly and size inclusive. When you book your session you will have the entire collection to choose from. You are also welcome to wear something from your own closet of course!
When we begin planning for your session we will chat about the vision for your session and I can provide suggestions on what wardrobe options will work best for you!
Where Will My Session Take Place?
The Nurture Portrait Series typically takes place in a studio environment in order to achieve relaxed, simple and timeless imagery that focuses on you and your child. My clients often enjoy not having to worry about tidying their home for their session. If your vision involves photos of you in your own home I am happy to discuss how to make your vision come to life.
Is Hair & Makeup Included?
Hair and makeup is not included in your session. I do not include this automatically because not every mama wants that. I have a list of referrals for hair and makeup artists that I send to all my clients for those of you who want to be pampered in that way.
These portraits are meant to highlight YOU in whatever way feels best for you. If that means a glamorous blowout and professional makeup, amazing. If that means bare-faced and natural hair, incredible. It doesn’t matter to me. It matters what YOU want out of this experience.
Who Is This Not For?
The Nurture Portrait Series is not for those looking for “just a few quick photos” or a “mini session”. These requests can often be from individuals looking for a lower priced, quick session to have done in a relatively short time span. This may be something that other photographers offer if they are a high-volume, low-touch business model.
My photography business is a low-volume, custom experience, from start to finish. I LOVE creating a unique and personal experience for each of my clients. I want you to feel well taken care of. We are celebrating YOU as a mother after all aren’t we?! You deserve to be pampered. This entails detailed planning, preparation and of course my unique artistic ability. Therefore, in order to provide this experience for you, these sessions involve the appropriate financial investment.
Will You Use My Images For Marketing/Online Purposes?
I will only use the images from your session for marketing/online/social media purposes if you are comfortable with it. Due to the intimate nature of these sessions I have 3 levels of privacy that I offer.
Full Use
This means you are completely comfortable with images from your session in use on my website or social media for marketing purposes.
Partial Use
In this scenario you are comfortable with me using images from your session that do not directly identify you or your child. An example of this is an image that is purposefully and artistically blurred, doesn’t show your face, etc.
No Use
This means you are not comfortable with any images from your session in use for marketing/online/social media.
As a photographer the images I create are, in a sense, my business cards. It is important for the health of my business to be able to share the images I create in order to work with more amazing clients like you. Therefore, Partial and Non-Use sessions involve an additional fee. I understand that not everyone wants their images shared publicly because of the intimate nature of this portrait series. This is one of the factors that play into the financial investment involved in a portrait session with me.
What Happens After My Session?
After your session I will begin the post-production process. This involves culling through the images, selecting the best images and editing them with my unique style. Just like my regular portrait sessions, approximately 3-4 weeks after your session I will send you a slideshow of the images from your session. I always encourage my clients to set aside a special time for yourself to open and view your slideshow. Carving out some private time to watch your slideshow is a continuation of the purpose of your portrait session. Prioritizing yourself and showing yourself the care you deserve, mama.
After you view your slideshow you will then select 1 of 3 collections. These collections vary based on number of images and a complimentary print credit to use towards high-quality artwork, like heirloom albums and fine art prints in my gallery storefront.
I Want This! How Do I Book My Nurture Portrait Series Session?
The first step in the process of working with me is to fill out my inquiry form which will get you directly into my client system. This quick form gathers some initial information from you and helps me get to know you!
